About the Event

As a Contingent we have been selected to represent the cadet movement on the above dates at the Sovereigns Parade at RMS Sandhurst .

The Sovereign’s Parade at the end of each term, marks the passing out from Sandhurst of Officer Cadets who have completed the Commissioning Course and is the result of many hours of hard work. It is the grandest day in the Sandhurst calendar as friends, family and VIPs gather before Old College Square to watch the cadets take part in their final challenge.

During the ceremony, the Sword of Honour, the Overseas Sword and the Queen’s Medal are awarded by the Sovereign’s Representative to the top Officer Cadets. The parade traditionally ends with the Adjutant riding his horse up the steps of Old College as he follows the graduating Officer Cadets through the Grand Entrance.

It’s a proud day for Officer Cadets going into the Regular Army when they finally march up the steps of Old College to be commissioned as officers at the end of the prestigious Sovereign’s Parade.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for cadets to visit the college on Thursday for a guided visit of the college, meet officer recruits and learn about the pomp and ceremony behind the parade. On the Friday you will be in Uniform acting as ushers for the event and so have a front seat view of all that takes place. The Queen will be represented by member of the Royal Household – so who knows who you may meet.

As this is an overnight stay we will be living on RAT packs and sleeping in bashers in the grounds of Sandhurst College

Applications to Major Reynolds using the Printable Permission form at the link below, with the usual £5.00 attendance fee.

Space is limited to 20 cadets – so the first 20 cadets to get their £5.00 and slip in get to go get to go
