Swim Test Details

TWGGS CCF are running a swim test at Rosehill on 30thMarch for all those who haven’t completed it yet – this will mainly be year nines and tens but may also include those from other years who weren’t free to do it previously.

Swim Test Details

The test will cost £2 to complete (please hand in payment before the day) and once it is done, you will never have to do it again and it just makes it easy for us to sign you off as a swimmer for cadet activities (do not worry if you can't swim however, as you won't be prevented from doing activities in the future - you will be declared as a non-swimmer and may just require some extra supervision or safety measures).

The test itself is simple and involves you completing the following whilst dressed in light clothes over a swimming costume (such as PE kit or pyjamas):

•  treading water for 5 minutes
• swimming 100 metres without touching the sides
• getting out of the pool unaided

The test is done in groups of 6-8 and is very quick, so once you are done you can leave straight away. Any questions, please contact Major Reynolds.

Timings:

Year nines – Meet at the front gate at 14:40 ready to leave – do not be late! Your swim test will take place during period 5

Year tens – Leave period 5 slightly early and meet at the front gate at 15:30

Anyone else who hasn’t yet done the test – meet at Rose Hill, ready to go at 15:00
